Dance can be rigorous, welcoming and full of possibility. That belief is at the heart of BAC.
A shared vision
Artistic experience.
Armando Braswell brings an international dance career and a commitment to teaching. He graduated from The Juilliard School in 2006 and performed with companies in Munich, Stuttgart and Basel.
A place to grow.
Lisa Braswell brings cultural and administrative experience to the center’s development. Together, Armando and Lisa established BAC in 2017, building on a community that began gathering in 2015.
Our approach
A welcoming beginning
There is space for first-time dancers alongside experienced students. The right class gives each person a clear place to start.
Quality & curiosity
Training supports technique, expression and creative discovery, with teachers bringing different artistic perspectives.
Community through art
Performances, workshops and shared spaces create opportunities to connect beyond the class itself.
Rooted in Basel. Open to exchange.
BAC’s home at Aeschenvorstadt 52 brings training and community life together. The Braswell Arts Association, established in 2019, supports artistic and educational activity.
